BTS Scores New No. 1s On Multiple Charts With A Months-Old Song

BTS has revitalized their track “Normal” from the album *Arirang* with a new official single release and music video in mid-July 2026, resulting in the song climbing to No. 1 on multiple U.K. sales charts. This resurgence gives BTS their seventh No. 1 on the Official Singles Sales chart and eighth on the Official Singles Downloads chart, marking significant milestones in the band's impressive chart history. “Normal” initially debuted at No. 35 in April, but this latest push has made it the bestselling single across digital and physical formats in the U.K.

The fanbase known as ARMY played a crucial role in reigniting interest in “Normal,” leading to the track also topping the Official Singles Downloads chart where BTS has achieved eight No. 1 hits and nineteen top 10s over their career. The song's return to prominence brought it to No. 36 on the overall Official Singles chart for the first time, breaking into the top 40 and surpassing its earlier peak of No. 74. This marks “Normal” as the third song from *Arirang* to reach the U.K. top 40, alongside lead single “Swim” and fan favorite “Body to Body.”

While “Normal” enjoys new success, the full *Arirang* album has seen a decline this week across all four U.K. album charts on which it appears, although it maintains a top 40 presence on both the Official Albums Sales and Physical Albums charts. Meanwhile, “Swim,” the lead single from *Arirang*, continues solid performance by climbing from No. 62 to No. 52 on the Official Physical Singles chart, adding to BTS’s robust chart activity in the U.K. market.

This fresh wave of success for “Normal” demonstrates BTS’s enduring influence and the effective engagement of their global fanbase, even months after the album’s initial release. The band's ability to chart multiple singles from the same album—maintaining high placements on sales and downloads charts—is a testament to their ongoing popularity and strategic promotional efforts, highlighting BTS’s significant standing in the global music industry as of mid-2026.
