I find this word really funny because of its legal implications (regarding minors committing crimes). Broadly, it feels like a warning stage/grace period. I’m usually really good at paying my credit card bills on time, mostly because I primarily use my credit card and have to pay it off before the due date sometimes to make room for other purchases. Still, it’s nice to have a word to describe the state of my account if I ever do miss a payment. Looking through the site, the definitions of a lot of words like this one are pretty straightforward once you think about them.
