June, a startup founded by former Salesforce executives, has emerged from stealth with $20 million in pre-seed funding led by Marc Benioff’s Time Ventures. The company aims to simplify the complicated process of deploying AI in large enterprises, addressing the challenges of integrating AI tools with existing legacy systems and fragmented data across platforms like Salesforce and ServiceNow. Alongside Benioff, investors include tech figures such as Michael Dell, Aaron Levie, and George Kurtz.

The founders, Ohad Hen, Barak Goldstein, Idan Tsitiat, and Efrat Rapoport, previously built Bonobo AI before selling it to Salesforce. Their new venture focuses on overcoming the difficulty companies face when trying to implement AI at scale, which often leads to hiring numerous forward-deployed engineers (FDEs) who specialize in AI deployment. Rapoport argues that the current solution of hiring more experts is inefficient and that June’s platform offers a different approach.

June’s technology scans a company’s existing systems to identify bottlenecks and duplicated data, then provides a step-by-step roadmap to automate and optimize business processes using AI agents. This roadmap directs users on tasks like removing duplicate data fields and connecting relevant data sources, allowing companies to build AI-driven workflows without relying heavily on specialized engineers. Paul Akinmade, chief strategy officer at mortgage lender CMG, praised June for enabling his team to deploy AI agents safely ahead of schedule, unlike previous efforts using other tools.

While June positions itself as complementary to FDEs and consultants, many customers appreciate the autonomy it provides. Akinmade expressed frustration with relying on FDEs and black-box solutions and welcomed June’s user-friendly platform that demystifies AI integration. June’s goal is to empower companies to adopt AI efficiently by addressing the messy realities of enterprise IT environments, potentially reducing the need for extensive external consulting.
