General Intuition, a New York-based AI startup developing a foundational model that enables generalized AI agents to navigate through space and time, is in discussions to raise funds at a $6 billion pre-money valuation. This funding round includes new investors such as Valor Equity Partners, Point72 Ventures, and Seven Seven Six, alongside current backers like Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst. The company recently raised $320 million valued at $2.3 billion just weeks ago, highlighting its rapid growth and strong market interest.

Founded by CEO Pim de Witte in October 2025, General Intuition was spun out of his video game clip-sharing platform, Medal. The startup leverages vast datasets of gameplay footage and detailed “action labels” – logs of player inputs – to train its AI models. These models are designed to develop spatial reasoning and autonomous decision-making skills that can generalize across diverse tasks and environments, a capability investor Vinod Khosla describes as the “emergence of intuition.”

The additional capital will be allocated to advancing General Intuition’s core model with a special focus on robotic embodiments, aiming to apply their AI agents to real-world physical tasks. This includes expanding their compute infrastructure, supported by partnerships like the one with CoreWeave, and scaling their engineering and research teams. Valor Equity Partners’ interest is notable given their background with SpaceX, marking this as their first investment into an AI lab.

General Intuition’s current funding round is reported to be oversubscribed, reflecting significant investor demand as the company positions itself at the forefront of physical AI development.
