Stocks making the biggest moves after hours: Gap, Workday, Autodesk and more

Several companies made notable moves in after-hours trading on August 27, 2026, following earnings reports and leadership changes. Gap’s shares increased by about 14% after announcing that Michael Francis will become the CEO of Old Navy on November 2, replacing Haio Barbeito. Additionally, Gap’s adjusted earnings for the second quarter exceeded expectations, reporting 52 cents per share compared to the estimated 48 cents.

Marvell Technology’s stock fell 6% despite the company forecasting adjusted earnings slightly above analysts’ estimates for the current quarter. The semiconductor firm projected earnings of $1.10 per share, with gross margins expected in the 57.5% to 58.5% range, modestly below StreetAccount’s consensus of 58.5%. Similarly, Workday’s shares rose nearly 1% as the enterprise software company beat second-quarter revenue and earnings forecasts.

Rubrik saw a 7% decline after its second-quarter gross margin came in a bit under expectations, though the company still beat estimates on earnings and revenue, reporting non-GAAP earnings of 20 cents per share and revenue of $427 million. Autodesk’s stock dropped 5% after their third-quarter and full-year adjusted earnings guidance came in slightly below Wall Street projections, signaling some investor concern.

Elastic N.V. experienced a 20% surge after raising its full-year adjusted earnings and revenue guidance beyond forecasts, with the company projecting earnings between $3.29 and $3.37 per share on revenue just shy of $2 billion. Conversely, cybersecurity firm SentinelOne’s shares declined nearly 4% after issuing weak earnings projections for the upcoming quarter and full year despite a strong second-quarter performance that exceeded expectations.
