IShowSpeed And Dr. Squatch Launch A $1 Million Competition For Fans

Dr. Squatch has teamed up with 21-year-old creator and streamer IShowSpeed to launch SPEEDRUN: Million Dollar Mission, a nine-week contest offering a total prize of $1 million. The competition, which began August 31 and runs through October 31, spans multiple platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, as well as retail and real-world elements. Participants can take part in over 25 challenges across four countries, with more than 4,000 Walmart stores and select partners involved. The grand final event includes a $250,000 prize hunt for fans.

This initiative stands out by designing the contest structure around how IShowSpeed organically interacts with his 184 million followers, aiming to leverage the creator’s unique relationship with his audience rather than just his reach. Dr. Squatch’s chief brand officer, John Ludeke, emphasized that Speed’s fanbase is highly engaged and naturally competitive, which informed the campaign’s creation. The brand is catering specifically to Gen-Z consumers who prefer participation over traditional advertising, making the campaign a test case for a new model of immersive creator partnerships.

IShowSpeed expressed that the contest format aligns well with his community’s existing interaction style, making the campaign feel authentic rather than forced. Since launching in 2016, Speed has grown his audience through gaming, viral TikTok videos, and now incorporates content around soccer and travel. His past brand partnerships include campaigns with Dick’s Sporting Goods, Beats by Dre, and Doritos, and he recently headlined the FIFA World Cup 2026 Tour.

The campaign was developed in collaboration with APPLIED MSCHF, MSCHF’s brand partnership arm, along with creative input from director Kyle Beiermeister and Echobend Productions. Gabe Whaley, founder of MSCHF, described the multi-channel scavenger hunt as a reflection of contemporary culture, which operates simultaneously across digital and physical spaces. Dr. Squatch will rely heavily on social media and community engagement to drive the campaign’s success, opting to forego traditional television ads, making the outcome highly dependent on authentic audience participation.
