Maria Bartiromo out at Fox News after more than a decade; no reason specified

Fox News Media announced the departure of Maria Bartiromo after more than 12 years with the network, following the final broadcast of her show “Mornings With Maria” on Fox Business Network. The company did not provide a specific reason for the split but expressed gratitude for her contributions and wished her well in future endeavors. Bartiromo’s social media remained unchanged immediately after the announcement, still promoting her program.

Bartiromo’s shows, including “Mornings With Maria,” “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street,” and “Sunday Morning Futures,” will continue under new titles and rotating hosts. “Mornings With Maria” will be renamed “Mornings with Fox Business,” while “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” will become “FBN’s Wall Street.” Jason Chaffetz will take over hosting duties on “Sunday Morning Futures” for the time being.

Throughout her tenure, Bartiromo was a prominent financial journalist known for her interviews and political influence, notably receiving praise from former President Donald Trump, who frequently granted her interviews. Bartiromo faced controversy stemming from a 2025 lawsuit by voting technology company Smartmatic accusing Fox News of false election fraud claims, allegations she denied, maintaining she was performing standard journalistic follow-up. This lawsuit followed an earlier settled case involving Dominion Voting Systems.

Before joining Fox News, Bartiromo spent two decades at CNBC, where she first made a name as a financial journalist with groundbreaking live reports from the New York Stock Exchange floor, earning an Emmy Award during her time there. Her career also included work for CNN prior to her CNBC tenure. Her exit from Fox News puts her among several high-profile departures from the network in recent years, including Tucker Carlson, Bill O’Reilly, and Pete Hegseth.
