Social fundraising platform Tiltify has introduced the Creator Impact Honors, an annual awards program designed to recognize and evaluate the charitable efforts of creators within the growing creator economy. Unlike traditional creator recognitions that focus mainly on entertainment or social metrics like followers or earnings, this program emphasizes the measurable impact of philanthropic campaigns led by creators. An independent jury composed of philanthropy, journalism, and creator economy leaders will select winners across 20 honors spanning six impact categories. The awards aim to formalize the assessment of creator philanthropy and set benchmarks for a rapidly evolving sector of charitable giving.

Tiltify CEO Michael Wasserman shared that discussions about creating such an awards program began in 2022 after the company tracked creator-led fundraising via livestreams and content across different platforms and communities. Wasserman views the creator economy as a critical driver for philanthropy over the next two decades, highlighting how engagement and community participation tied to longer-form content platforms such as YouTube and Twitch foster greater fundraising success. Jury member Matthew Patrick, also known as MatPat, brings over a decade of experience in running multimillion-dollar charitable campaigns and stresses that true impact involves sustained engagement and meaningful change beyond top-line fundraising numbers.

The Creator Impact Honors jury includes notable figures such as MatPat, Glenn Gamboa, Art Taylor, Tim Sarrantonio, Monica Khan, Matt Fitzgerald, Mary Kish, and creators Shane and Hannah Burcaw. Jurors will review data provided by Tiltify but will independently determine winners. Nominations for campaigns from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, are open until September 24, with winners announced on October 27. Notably, eligible campaigns are not restricted to those hosted on Tiltify, broadening the scope and inclusivity of the awards.

The program reflects a broader trend toward the professionalization and formal recognition of the creator economy, especially in areas like philanthropy that have lacked consistent evaluation standards. MatPat emphasizes that formal honors confirm the seriousness and legitimacy of creator philanthropy, which can introduce audiences to new causes and deepen ongoing involvement. This new awards initiative complements existing recognitions such as the Streamy Awards and Webby Awards by carving out a dedicated space for acknowledging the social impact of creators.
