Global girl group KATSEYE is set to make their debut on the iconic sketch show Saturday Night Live (SNL) during the Season 52 premiere on September 26, 2026. The episode will be hosted by New York Knicks captain and 2025 Forbes 30 Under 30 Sports honoree Jalen Brunson, who also recently won the MVP of the 2026 NBA Finals. KATSEYE, formed by HYBE and Geffen Records specifically for the American market, will perform amidst their ongoing THE WILDWORLD Tour, although two members are currently on health-related hiatus.

This SNL booking comes at a pivotal time for KATSEYE, coinciding with their third EP, WILD, hitting number one on the Billboard 200 last month. The album moved 170,000 equivalent units in the U.S., marking the largest opening week for an all-female group since Billboard started tracking units in 2014. Notably, KATSEYE is the first traditional girl group to appear on SNL since Destiny’s Child performed in 2004, underscoring the rarity of such ensembles on the show.

Following KATSEYE’s premiere show on September 26, SNL will feature other musical guests including Turnstile on October 3, Spanish superstar Rosalía on October 10, and Gracie Abrams on October 31, with hosts ranging from Dakota Johnson to newcomer Inde Navarrette. The performances will air live on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET, with next-day streaming available on the Peacock app. This lineup marks a diverse array of artists and hosts for SNL’s 52nd season.

KATSEYE's appearance highlights their growing prominence as an all-female act emerging from the K-pop system tailored for global audiences. Formed through the 2023 survival program The Debut: Dream Academy co-launched by HYBE and Geffen Records, the group debuted in 2024. Their presence on SNL echoes BTS’s historic milestone in 2019 as the first Korean act to perform on the show, with KATSEYE’s youngest member Yoonchae joining that elite list of Korean artists on the SNL stage.
