Run Fast Racing’s Listenupshance Has Puncher’s Chance In Breeders’ Cup

Run Fast Racing, a Thoroughbred ownership group founded in 2026 by music manager Adam Kluger, is making its debut at the Breeders’ Cup with the gelding Listenupshance. Kluger designed this innovative group to engage everyday sports fans and celebrities alike, including Lil Wayne, by offering shared ownership opportunities at affordable costs. Since its inception, Run Fast Racing has rapidly expanded to 1,000 shareholders, fostering community and active involvement beyond race days. Kluger’s vision is to attract new generations to Thoroughbred racing, a sport deeply layered with tradition.

Listenupshance, a four-year-old son of Shancelot, was acquired by Kluger for $30,000 in August 2025, a modest sum in the racing market. Placed under the expert tutelage of trainer Doug O’Neill, the horse quickly exceeded expectations, winning his initial race for the group at 17-1 odds. Listenupshance subsequently put together an impressive record, including victories in the Grade 1 Bing Crosby Stakes and Grade 2 Santa Anita Sprint Championship, earning automatic entries into the highly competitive Breeders’ Cup Sprint. His career tally after fourteen starts is an impressive eleven finishes in the top three.

Trainer Doug O’Neill, who boasts five Breeders’ Cup victories, praises Listenupshance’s consistent competitive spirit and ability to challenge elite sprinters. This year alone, the gelding has secured two wins, two second-place finishes, and two thirds in six stakes races, showing peak form at the right moment. O’Neill compares Listenupshance to a fighter with the grit to endure and prevail, highlighting the enthusiasm the horse has generated within the Run Fast Racing community. The Breeders’ Cup Sprint, set for October 31 at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky, promises a strong field where Listenupshance’s speed and heart give him a genuine chance.

Adam Kluger views Listenupshance’s participation as a symbol of opportunity for all aspiring owners and a victory for Thoroughbred racing’s evolution. By combining celebrity appeal with accessible group ownership, Run Fast Racing is breaking new ground and broadening the sport’s appeal. While simply qualifying for the Breeders’ Cup is a milestone, Kluger and his team hope for a thrilling “Rocky II” moment in this year’s Sprint, where their underdog contender can fight for a world title and elevate the profile of people-powered racing ownership.
