Former NBA players Michael Beasley and Delonte West are set to headline an upcoming celebrity boxing match scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Brand Risk Warehouse in Miami. This bout, part of the Brand Risk 16 event promoted by Adin Ross, will follow standard boxing rules and be broadcast live for free across platforms like Twitch, Kick, X, TikTok, and YouTube beginning at 5 p.m. PT. The fight card includes a total of eleven bouts, with Beasley vs. West positioned among them but not as the main or co-main event.

Michael Beasley, who was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft and later played for the Lakers, brings prior fighting experience to this event, having competed (and lost) in an MMA fight on Brand Risk 14 against Lance Stephenson where he was choked out in the first round. In contrast, Delonte West, a 43-year-old former NBA player with eight seasons under his belt with teams including the Celtics and Cavaliers, has no prior experience in any combat sports or fighting competitions.

This match marks a development from the original plan for Beasley and West to co-host a podcast titled "Shut Up and Dribble," but now they’ve opted to settle their rivalry in the ring. The Brand Risk fight card features a mix of celebrities, athletes, influencers, and streamers, with recognized names like Wendy Ortiz, Deshae Frost, YK Osiris, Ray J, and Johnny Manziel also participating across various matchups. The event is known for its star-studded panels of commentators including Dana White and Rampage Jackson, providing entertainment beyond serious boxing standards.

Brand Risk events, promoted by Adin Ross, have gained traction by blending celebrity boxing and alternative combat sports, offering viewers a blend of spectacle and crossover appeal. Despite not being traditional professional fights, the cards draw significant attention and continue to grow, making Michael Beasley vs. Delonte West a notable intra-former-NBA rivalry for fans to watch on October 16.
