Amazon has introduced five new Alexa-powered devices, including two novel categories: the Alexa Photo Frame and the Echo Time smart alarm clock. The Alexa Photo Frame features a 10-inch semi-matte, anti-glare display designed to present photos in an attractive, natural-looking way, similar to high-end digital frames like Aura's. Integrated with Amazon Photos, it offers Prime members unlimited photo storage, intelligently selects pictures based on smiles, lighting, and seasons, and allows for voice notes. This new frame blends technology with stylish home decor and is priced starting at $199.99 for the Black model, with Birch and Walnut wood finishes available at $229.
The Echo Time aims to replace smartphone dependence in bedrooms by offering a smart alarm clock tailored for personal routines and better sleep management. Available for $199.99, or $209.99 for a kid-friendly version, it includes features such as sleep-sensing technology to detect sleep phases, waking users during lighter sleep for a gentler start to the day, and sunrise simulation for a natural wake-up experience. This device focuses on bedroom-specific needs, like managing morning reminders, white noise, or controlling smart home devices via Alexa.
Alongside these new devices, Amazon updated its existing Echo lineup. The Echo Dot now includes a built-in smart home hub with an integrated eero Wi-Fi extender that increases coverage by up to 1,000 square feet, enabling better connectivity for smart lights, locks, and thermostats. Powered by Amazon’s AZ3 chip, it offers enhanced AI processing for faster Alexa+ responses, priced at $99.99. Additionally, the Echo Studio now comes with a home camera and visual intelligence that allows Alexa to recognize objects and assist users in real time, retailing for $249.99.
Finally, the company revealed the Echo Show 16, boasting a 16-inch display with a 10% larger view area and a 40% smaller bezel compared to its predecessor. It supports Fire TV streaming and includes smart home features like Family Organizer, along with digital photo frame capabilities. The Echo Show 16 can be preordered at $499.99, showcasing Amazon's push to blend advanced smart features seamlessly into modern home environments.
