Immersive Gamebox, known for its innovative group gaming arcades, is launching a new immersive experience based on Netflix’s acclaimed animated film, KPop Demon Hunters. Scheduled to debut in the United States in January 2027, this collaboration with Netflix allows fans to engage directly with the film’s world through interactive games. Utilizing motion-tracking headwear, 3D motion detection, projection mapping, and spatial audio, players will navigate challenges inspired by the movie’s characters and settings, creating a dynamic participatory environment.
This launch follows Immersive Gamebox’s successful partnerships with Netflix on experiences themed around Squid Game and Floor is Lava. The KPop Demon Hunters experience invites participants to embody personalized superfan avatars equipped with costumes and accessories from the film’s universe. Players work together across various mini-games set in locations reminiscent of Seoul and the movie’s narrative, enhancing the engagement with the film’s music and themes through physical movement and teamwork.
Since its premiere over a year ago, KPop Demon Hunters has become a global sensation, contributing to Netflix's robust financial performance, including a notable $11.5 billion revenue in the third quarter of 2025, a 17% increase year-on-year. The film’s popularity extends beyond streaming, fueling merchandise and music sales and prompting Netflix to greenlight a sequel. The production team, including co-directors Maggie Kang and Chris Applehans, secured a lucrative deal guaranteeing $10 million annually over five years, alongside a share in merchandising profits.
Tickets for the Immersive Gamebox KPop Demon Hunters experience will become available starting December 2026, with the full experience rolling out nationwide the following month. Fans eager to participate can join a waitlist for priority access. This venture exemplifies the growing trend of blending entertainment and interactive technology, leveraging popular intellectual properties to create engaging, social experiences that resonate with both devoted followers and new audiences alike.
