Gold House marked the annual Festival of Lights with its largest Gold Diwali event on October 29, 2026, held at The Majestic Downtown in Los Angeles. This celebration honored the heritage, accomplishments, and impact of South Asian culture globally, uniting influential figures from Asian Pacific Islander (API) sectors such as fashion, business, technology, entertainment, and content creation. Executive Chairman and CEO Bing Chen highlighted Diwali as a tribute to light, community, and cultural identity, emphasizing the journey of creators and builders whose success unfolds over time and effort.
The evening featured a special introduction of the anticipated film _Ramayana: Part 1: Rise of a Legend_, by executive producer Namit Malhotra, filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, and stars Ranbir Kapoor and Yash. Premiering worldwide on November 5 and already securing over $1.8 million in pre-release bookings across India, the film demonstrated the growing global influence of South Asian storytelling. Attendees included prominent personalities such as Tan France, Freida Pinto, Dhar Mann, and executives including Abhijay Prakash of Blumhouse and Manish Chandra of Poshmark, showcasing a broad spectrum of leadership and creativity in the community.
During the event, Gold House announced new initiatives to further support South Asian narratives, particularly the launch of the Gold Stack Shorts Fund in partnership with South Stack Studios. This fund aims to back proof-of-concept short films and micro-series focusing on South Asian stories, with applications open until November 30 and selections to be announced in January ahead of Sundance. A luxurious hand-painted carrom board, crafted by Indian designer Anita Dongre, debuted as a symbol of modernized cultural heritage, alongside the Cuyana x Gold House Marigold Charm—a recently released collectible embracing tradition.
Guests immersed themselves in an authentic Diwali experience complete with a South Asian menu by Rasoi Catering and engaging activities like the Carrom Game Lounge, jewelry showcases, and photo booths produced by the South Asian dating app Dil Mil. Live music included DJ MissNINJA and tabla performances by Indian percussionist KVS Tabla. To extend the festival’s reach beyond the event, Gold House also launched an online Diwali Culture Guide designed to educate and connect individuals with the festival’s rich traditions and cultural significance.
