‘Dancing With The Stars’ Moves To Monday For Disney Night As Stars Take On Broadway

Season 35 of *Dancing With the Stars* is spotlighting a special Disney on Broadway theme for its eighth week, with a live two-hour episode scheduled for Monday, November 2, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+. This shift from the usual Tuesday slot is due to ABC’s midterm election coverage. Following a dramatic double elimination during Horror Movie Night, the eight remaining couples will perform theatrical routines inspired by Disney films and famous Broadway shows, such as *Peter Pan*, *Tangled*, and *Hamilton*. The competition will also feature fan-favorite team dances and live performances from Broadway artists.

The Disney Night will showcase unique routines by celebrity-professional pairs, including Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov dancing a Quickstep to “A Star Is Born” from *Hercules*, and Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa performing a Paso Doble to “Satisfied” from *Hamilton*. Other standout performances include Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson’s Jazz routine to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” with Kyra Belle Johnson appearing live, and Jenna Dewan with Val Chmerkovskiy dancing a Quickstep to “Be Our Guest” from *Beauty and the Beast*, accompanied by Rodney Ingram. The episode is also set to feature group numbers divided between two teams named Team Slaytopia and Team Wildcats, incorporating songs from *Zootopia 2* and *High School Musical*, with co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough joining their respective teams.

Cynthia Erivo, a celebrated British actress and singer known for her Tony, Grammy, and Emmy wins as well as three Oscar nominations, will join the judging panel for Disney Night. Erivo is acclaimed for her starring roles on Broadway in *The Color Purple* and on screen in *Harriet* and *Wicked*. Her presence marks a notable addition to the show’s panel alongside regular judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli, promising expert critiques on the Broadway-themed dances.

This week’s episode promises to blend enchanting Disney magic with the excitement of Broadway theatre, offering fans a fresh and emotionally charged experience. Viewers can watch the live airing on ABC and Disney+, with streaming available on Hulu the following day. The special theme and star-studded guest judge underscore the show’s ongoing appeal as it advances toward the season finale, keeping the competition lively and engaging as the dancers take on these iconic musical challenges.
