Chicago Bears’ Caleb Williams Earns $1,075 Million In Base Salary

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, is having a standout season while earning a base salary of $1,075,000 for 2026. His fully guaranteed four-year contract, signed in 2024, totals $39,486,058. This base salary translates to about $59,722 per week during the NFL season, exclusive of bonuses. As of early November, the Bears hold a 5-2 record in the tough NFC North division, trailing the undefeated Minnesota Vikings.

Williams, turning 25 on November 18, has demonstrated his elite capabilities on the field despite missing three games due to a hamstring injury from a September game against the Vikings. After returning, he delivered a strong performance against the Atlanta Falcons with 305 passing yards, helping secure a win. He has thrown over 300 yards in recent victories, highlighting his critical role in the Bears’ ambitions for a deep playoff run.

Selected ahead of five other quarterbacks in the 2024 draft, Williams has shown he is living up to his high pick status. His progression has been positively influenced by Chicago’s new head coach Ben Johnson, who joined from the Detroit Lions and has been credited with elevating Williams’ game. Johnson’s approach, which included studying Aaron Rodgers’ film, has helped Williams mature on and off the field, transforming his attitude and intensity.

Looking ahead, the Bears face an arduous schedule with games against the Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and others through January. Winning key matchups will be essential as they strive to secure a playoff spot. Williams’ performance and leadership will be pivotal for the Bears in navigating this challenging stretch, as the team pursues a potential Super Bowl run under his guidance.
