Titan OS raises $46 million to expand its smart TV OS internationally

Barcelona-based Titan OS has secured $46 million in new funding through a combination of equity and debt, bringing its total fundraising to $110 million. This latest investment round includes debt facilities from funds managed by BlackRock, alongside continued support from existing backers Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners. The company intends to use this capital to accelerate its international growth and deepen partnerships with TV makers and content providers, rather than pursuing slower, organic expansion.

Titan OS offers a smart TV operating system that enables manufacturers to generate additional revenue beyond hardware sales by integrating free ad-supported television (FAST) channels and targeted advertising. The platform currently reaches 30 million users globally, a significant increase from 18 million the previous year. Its client roster now includes major TV brands such as Sharp, AOC, Vestel, Skyworth, and notably Philips, which has adopted Titan OS for its 2026 models, dropping Google TV in the process.

The company has expanded its operational footprint with offices in Barcelona, Amsterdam, Taipei, and a new London location focused on advertising efforts. This growth has been accompanied by a rise in staff to 250 employees. Titan OS places a strong emphasis on content discovery improvements, leveraging AI-enhanced interface tweaks to reduce the time users spend searching for content. The company prides itself on neutrality, not favoring any proprietary content, in contrast to competitors like Google.

Titan OS’s leadership highlights the increasing costs of TV hardware amplified by the AI boom, which makes the traditional business model less profitable for manufacturers. As a result, partners are relying more on Titan OS’s revenue-sharing model, which can provide long-term income beyond one-time device sales. The startup continues strengthening its advertiser reach and viewer engagement, creating a virtuous cycle that attracts more sales partners and expands its market influence worldwide.
