Sixteen-year-old twin brothers Chazz and Chaze Clemons from Long Beach launched Glizzy Street just a year ago with a $400 investment and a single hot dog cart serving bacon-wrapped hot dogs. Since then, their venture has grown rapidly, amassing over 450,000 social media followers and gaining significant community support. To mark their first anniversary, the brothers hosted a community giveaway in partnership with Raising Cane’s and the City of Long Beach, highlighting their commitment to giving back while celebrating their initial success.
In their first year, the Clemons twins focused on mastering the essentials of their business, including perfecting their product and establishing standard operating procedures. However, they are now preparing for an ambitious expansion phase, aiming to scale Glizzy Street across California and eventually nationwide. The brothers credit Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves for influencing their business strategy, especially regarding the importance of maintaining product quality, building strong teams, and the potential for franchising.
A pivotal moment for the twins came from their conversations with Graves, who emphasized franchising as a means for growth. Inspired, Chazz and Chaze have begun researching franchising opportunities and view it as a viable path forward. Beyond financial support, they value Graves’ mentorship highly, appreciating the business knowledge he has shared about effective management and long-term vision.
Rooted in a family tradition of entrepreneurship—both brothers’ father owns a gas station and trucking business—the Clemons twins have been motivated to carve out their own business journey from an early age. Their community-centric approach remains core to their mission, with local leaders and schools playing an ongoing role in their growth. By demonstrating what young entrepreneurs can achieve, they hope to inspire other kids in Long Beach and beyond to pursue their dreams.
