Blackpink’s Thai member Lalisa Manoban, known as LISA, is gearing up for a major milestone with her first solo documentary, Always Lalisa, which will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September 2026. Directed by Sue Kim, the 97-minute documentary offers an intimate look at Lisa’s journey during her year of solo independence after stepping away from Blackpink and her former agency YG Entertainment. It explores her challenges and aspirations as she launches her company LLOUD, pursues music and acting opportunities, and seeks balance between public life and personal moments.

Lisa has been extraordinarily active since founding LLOUD in 2024. That year, she filmed HBO’s White Lotus Season 3 in Thailand, released multiple solo singles including “Rockstar” and “Moonlit Floor,” and appeared at several high-profile events such as the MTV VMAs, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and the Global Citizen Festival. In 2025, she released her solo album amidst Blackpink tours, made her acting debut with the White Lotus premiere, appeared at the Met Gala, performed solo at Coachella, signed with talent agency WME, and was cast in the upcoming film Tygo.

In 2026, Lisa’s momentum continues with a lead role in a Netflix romantic comedy inspired by Notting Hill, a headline concert residency “Viva La Lisa” at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas scheduled for November, and a performance at the FIFA World Cup opening show alongside Anitta and Rema. The documentary, produced by Sony Music Vision with RCA Records and other collaborators, will showcase this dynamic phase of her career while revealing her personal side away from the spotlight. It will be presented in English, Korean, and Thai.

Director Sue Kim expressed excitement about premiering Always Lalisa at TIFF as part of the gala program, thanking collaborators and key partners including Sony Music Vision and LLOUD CO. The festival runs from September 10 to 20 in Toronto, Canada, but no further details about a public release date for the documentary have yet been shared. Always Lalisa promises to capture Lisa’s evolution as a global artist navigating independence, fame, and creative growth.
