Premier Lacrosse League Quietly Struck Exclusive Deal With Polymarket

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), fresh off a $100 million fundraising round led by Nets owner Joseph Tsai, quietly secured an exclusive partnership with prediction-market platform Polymarket earlier this year. The arrangement, confirmed by PLL co-founder Paul Rabil at a recent game, grants Polymarket prominent signage at PLL and Women’s Lacrosse League events, including around the scorer’s table. Fans attending these games have opportunities to engage with Polymarket via QR codes featured on big screens, which link to Polymarket’s U.S. app.

Despite the partnership, Polymarket’s U.S.-based app currently does not offer any PLL betting markets, though the company’s international platform—restricted to U.S. users—features markets on the PLL championship, individual games, and coach awards. However, competitor Kalshi operates an active U.S. futures market on the PLL championship with significantly higher trading volume. Polymarket has been promoting the PLL since at least May 2026, coinciding with the start of the PLL season.

Rabil expressed optimism about the role of prediction markets in promoting engagement for niche sports like lacrosse, viewing them as valuable conversational tools. While Polymarket declined further comment, the platform and Kalshi continue to vie for partnerships with major sports leagues. Prediction markets, once met with regulatory hesitation, are seeing increasing acceptance among leagues, with recent official partnerships forged with the NHL, MLB, UFC, MLS, and major European soccer leagues.

Both Polymarket and Kalshi are advancing talks with the NBA and are expected to formalize agreements possibly before the upcoming season. Although the NFL publicly remains cautious about prediction markets due to integrity concerns, insiders anticipate eventual collaboration. The PLL-Polymarket deal indicates growing confidence in prediction markets as a strategic asset for expanding fan interaction and monetization in emerging sports sectors.
