Prime Video India has finalized a multi-year partnership with CJ ENM, South Korea’s largest entertainment studio, to stream over 100 Korean content titles in India. The deal will provide Indian subscribers access to popular K-dramas and variety shows such as The Legend of Kitchen Soldier, Filing For Love, the third season of Yumi’s Cells, and the new series My Bias, My Boss. Prime Video India plans to release 26 new titles from CJ ENM over the next two years, with all content featuring English subtitles and dubbing in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
This move builds on an existing global collaboration between Prime Video and CJ ENM, which already offers a wide range of K-content to audiences through Amazon Prime Video's U.S. hub. The partnership reflects growing demand for Korean entertainment, as K-dramas continue to captivate viewers worldwide with their engaging storytelling, diverse genres, and memorable characters. Yumi’s Cells Season Three, one of the flagship titles, has achieved notable success, topping streaming charts in 81 countries including the US, Brazil, France, and the UAE.
Prime Video India is positioning itself as a leading destination for international content in one of the largest and most competitive streaming markets globally. With roughly 21 million paid subscribers and over 66 million total viewers in India, the platform commands a 21.3% market share. The popularity of Korean dramas is particularly strong among India’s Gen Z population, with over 50 million fans watching K-content for an average of two hours daily. Prime Video’s deepening investment in K-dramas aims to capitalize on this trend and expand its cultural and market reach.
CJ ENM executives expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting Prime Video India’s extensive reach and commitment to local audiences. The alliance is expected to introduce millions of Indian viewers to the emotional depth and rich storytelling that define Korean dramas. Alongside the announced and upcoming titles, Prime Video India’s library will include other beloved series like Legend of the Blue Sea, Prison Playbook, and A Practical Guide to Love, ensuring a broad and culturally diverse content offering for subscribers.
