HYBE announced its strongest quarterly financial results ever on July 28, 2026, with second-quarter revenue reaching 1.45 trillion KRW (about $995.2 million), a 105.5% increase year-over-year. Operating profit surged 159.3% to 170.9 billion KRW ($117.3 million), bouncing back from a loss reported in Q1 tied to a large stock-based compensation expense. Net profit soared 610.1% to 109.8 billion KRW ($75.3 million). The primary driver behind this growth was BTS, whose ARIRANG World Tour and the comeback album of the same name sparked a massive boost in concert revenue and album sales.
Concert revenue jumped 243.3% year-over-year to 647.7 billion KRW ($444.6 million) following the launch of the ARIRANG tour in April. The ARIRANG album dominated physical album sales in the U.S., becoming the top-selling vinyl and CD during the first half of 2026, with 567,000 CDs sold. Other HYBE artists also contributed significantly to physical sales; for example, ENHYPEN’s THE SIN: VANISH sold 286,000 copies, and CORTIS’s GREENGREEN moved 169,000 units. These strong global sales helped cement South Korea’s position as the world’s third-largest music exporting country.
The platform Weverse also hit new milestones with 14.43 million monthly active users, though growth slowed to 8% from the previous quarter’s 20%. The platform expanded its artist roster by adding popular Filipino acts SB19 and BINI, pushing total artist communities beyond 200. Increased payment volumes and higher average revenue per paying user signaled healthy engagement despite the slower user growth pace. HYBE continues to lean on Weverse as a key driver for fan engagement and monetization across its diverse artist lineup.
Looking ahead, HYBE plans a packed schedule of more than 200 concerts in the latter half of 2026, featuring BTS, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, KATSEYE, and others. Several music releases are lined up, including Dino of SEVENTEEN’s solo debut, ENHYPEN’s new mini album, and the summer debut of the new girl group TUIDE under HYBE’s ABD label. Additionally, NewJeans hinted at a comeback after a two-year break. While HYBE is winding down its AI voice-synthesis company Supertone, its core music and live entertainment business is positioned for continued growth fueled by its powerhouse artists and expanding global fanbase.
