Crusoe reportedly raises $3B at a $30B valuation

Crusoe, a data center developer with high-profile clients including Meta, Microsoft, and OpenAI, has successfully raised $3 billion in its latest funding round, pushing its valuation to $30 billion, according to Bloomberg. The round was co-led by Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners, with additional investment from Mubadala Capital, the investment arm of Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund Mubadala. This significant influx of capital follows a recent $13 billion, five-year contract with quantitative trading firm Jane Street, which will rely on Crusoe’s GPUs and AI infrastructure.

This new funding round arrives just 10 months after Crusoe secured $1.38 billion at a $10 billion valuation in October 2025. Founded in 2018 originally as a crypto mining company using flared natural gas, Crusoe has since evolved into a major player in AI infrastructure and cloud services. The company is noted for building large-scale data center campuses for industry giants such as Oracle and OpenAI, reflecting its strategic shift toward hyperscale computation.

Crusoe has been actively engaging with major investment banks including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to explore the possibility of launching an initial public offering (IPO) in the near future, as reported by Axios last month. This move suggests that the company is preparing to capitalize on its rapid growth and significant market demand for AI and cloud infrastructure by accessing public equity markets.

The substantial fundraising round and the blockbuster deal with Jane Street highlight Crusoe’s rising influence as a backbone provider for AI and high-performance computing customers. The company’s growth trajectory underscores the increasing convergence between data center innovation and AI technology, positioning Crusoe as a key player in supporting the expanding needs of the AI-driven digital economy.
