Wanna One Reunites For The KCON LA Stage After Nine Years

The K-pop sensation Wanna One is reuniting for a special performance at KCON LA 2026, marking their first joint appearance on the stage in nine years. Originally formed through the 2017 South Korean reality competition Produce 101 (Season 2), the group debuted that year and officially disbanded in 2019. Nine members—Park Ji-hoon, Lee Daehwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young, and Ha Sung-woon—came together in April for the variety series Wanna One Go: Back to Base, setting the stage for this highly anticipated reunion at the M Countdown concert on August 14 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Since their disbandment, many members have pursued successful solo careers across music, acting, and other entertainment fields. Park Ji-hoon has notably balanced a singing and acting career, recently starring in CJ ENM’s _The Legend of Kitchen Soldier_. Lee Daehwi and Park Woo-jin remain with the group AB6IX, dedicating themselves to music production and performance, while Kim Jae-hwan hosts a popular podcast about original music. Ong Seong-wu continues to secure acting roles, including an upcoming K-drama titled _Ossakhan Yeonae_, premiering July 18. Other members like Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young, and Ha Sung-woon have kept busy with singing, acting, and touring, showcasing their individual talents and expanding their fanbases.

Two members are absent from this reunion: Kang Daniel, who is currently fulfilling South Korea’s mandatory military service, and Lai Kuan-lin, now pursuing a career as a film director in China. Despite these absences, the performance will be deeply emotional for fans and the members alike, symbolizing a moment of reconnection and celebration of their collective journey. KCON LA 2026 promises to be a star-studded event, with other acts like H//PE Princess, PRODUCE 101 JAPAN SHINSEKAI winners K01KEYZ, TREASURE, and headliners NCT 127 also set to perform.

The event takes place from August 14 to 16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with the concert segment hosted at the nearby Crypto.com Arena. Sponsored by Olive Young, KCON is renowned as the largest Korean festival globally, honoring Korean music, fashion, culture, and lifestyle. Fans can still purchase tickets for the convention and concert individually or as packages that include exclusive fan experiences. This reunion stage not only reignites excitement for longtime fans but also introduces Wanna One’s legacy to new audiences amid a dynamic K-pop scene.
