Sensori Scores $95K Victory At Bishop T.D. Jakes’ Good Soil Forum For Entrepreneurs And Founders Ready To Scale

Sensori, a functional beverage brand co-founded by Shanna Pearre and Darean Rhodes, won a significant award at the Good Soil Forum held on October 10, 2026, at the Irving Convention Center in Texas. The event, organized by Bishop T.D. Jakes in collaboration with Wells Fargo, supports entrepreneurs by offering capital, networking, and resources to scale businesses. Sensori secured $95,000 in total winnings, including a $75,000 award as the first runner-up in the non-tech/consumer packaged goods category of Wells Fargo’s Seed Capital Pitch Competition, plus an additional $20,000 from the North Texas Founders competition.

Sensori’s beverages are nonalcoholic and enriched with botanicals and nootropics designed to enhance mood, focus, relaxation, and energy. The brand targets women, caregivers, and professionals of color, promoting an elevated drinking experience grounded in wellness. Sensori’s momentum follows an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round nearing $1 million, supported by over 40 creators and investors. Despite recent challenges, including a manufacturing failure in August that cost $120,000 in inventory and strained their cash flow, Sensori continued to meet growing customer demand by reinvesting personal funds.

Shanna Pearre expressed that the Good Soil Forum award is a pivotal boost amid the company’s operational struggles. She emphasized that entrepreneurship involves navigating setbacks alongside successes, highlighting how the $95,000 prize will help Sensori replenish inventory and strengthen its business infrastructure. Pearre’s journey also reflects broader themes in the Good Soil Movement, which aims to provide founders of color with the practical tools, capital, and connections necessary to transform business ideas into sustainable enterprises.

The Good Soil Forum drew a diverse group of entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders, featuring speakers like Tyler Perry, John Hope Bryant, and Boris Kodjoe. This year's competition awarded a total of $500,000 in equity-free capital across tech-enabled and non-tech categories, with Sensori’s win underscoring the growing prominence of innovative consumer packaged goods brands in this space. Sensori’s success marks an inspiring moment for founders committed to blending wellness with entrepreneurial growth in dynamic markets.
