Nvidia, AMD to invest $4 billion in Meta as tech giants deepen AI partnership

Nvidia and AMD have committed a combined $4 billion investment in Meta as part of the social media and AI giant’s plan to raise $95 billion to enhance its artificial intelligence infrastructure. Meta’s strategy includes initially raising $35 billion through public equity offerings, followed by an additional $60 billion via an at-the-market program. Nvidia announced it would contribute $3 billion while AMD pledged $1 billion, deepening their collaboration with Meta on AI technologies.

The investment comes as Nvidia and Meta expand their partnership around advanced AI systems, including Meta’s Vera Rubin and Vera CPU deployments. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang highlighted the transformative nature of AI agents, describing them as a new computing paradigm capable of understanding goals and performing tasks autonomously. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressed enthusiasm about continuing to work with Nvidia to develop advanced personal AI agents and pioneering models for users globally.

AMD also plays a crucial role in Meta’s AI efforts, with its Helios racks operating within Meta’s infrastructure and EPYC processors powering Meta’s Muse AI agent, which launched recently. AMD CEO Lisa Su emphasized the collaboration in building large-scale infrastructure and advancing silicon, software, and systems to support Meta’s ambitious superintelligence projects. The announcement reflects both companies’ ongoing expansion in the AI investment space, as Nvidia and AMD have been actively increasing their stakes in AI-related ventures this year.

This announcement occurs amid heavy investor activity in AI technology companies, with Nvidia participating in over 120 funding rounds in 2026 and AMD involved in 25 funding rounds so far this year. Nvidia’s investment portfolio includes prominent AI firms such as OpenAI and Anthropic, while AMD has committed up to $5 billion toward Anthropic. Following the news, AMD shares rose 3%, Nvidia’s stock remained stable, and Meta shares experienced a slight decline of 1%.
