Dodge Returns To The NASCAR Cup Series With Kaulig Racing In 2027

Dodge is making a high-profile return to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2027, partnering with Kaulig Racing to re-enter the competition after a 15-year hiatus. The announcement came from Tim Kuniskis, head of American Brands and SRT Performance at Stellantis North America, during a preview of the Stellantis display at the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas on November 2. Dodge’s last NASCAR Cup presence was in 2012 when Brad Keselowski won the championship driving a Team Penske Dodge Charger. Now, Dodge will compete alongside Ford, Chevrolet, and Toyota, marking a significant comeback for the automaker in the sport.

Kaulig Racing will serve as the factory-backed Dodge team in the Cup Series, with their 2027 driver lineup set to be unveiled during NASCAR Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Additionally, Dodge plans to reveal its new NASCAR Cup Series race car design at the 59th annual Snowball Derby in Pensacola, Florida, on December 4. This reveal will be streamed live on FloRacing and the NASCAR Channel, building excitement among fans as Dodge re-establishes its presence in top-tier stock car racing.

Dodge’s return to NASCAR underscores the brand’s dedication to American performance and motorsports heritage. The automaker’s history in NASCAR is rich, highlighted by its championship wins and influence on the sport since its first NASCAR victory in 1953. In recent years, Dodge’s parent company Stellantis has been reinvigorating its motorsports portfolio, including Ram’s 2026 return to NASCAR with Kaulig Racing, laying the groundwork for the Dodge Cup Series revival. Dodge SRT Racing, which oversees all of Stellantis’ North American motorsports, will lead this new chapter.

Beyond racing, Dodge is also spotlighting its high-performance lineup, including the new 600-horsepower 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition, the most powerful muscle car Dodge has offered. The lineup also includes models like the Charger R/T with 420 horsepower and the 710-horsepower Durango SRT Hellcat SUV. The return to NASCAR complements Dodge’s performance branding, promising to energize fans and customers alike as the company doubles down on its gas-powered muscle car legacy in the highly competitive racing arena.
