ElevenLabs has introduced a new feature allowing users to publish AI-generated music created on its ElevenMusic platform directly to SoundCloud. This integration targets SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers, who will receive a three-month complimentary upgrade to ElevenMusic Pro. This premium tier enables artists to produce up to 1,000 songs, split song stems 500 times, and customize five unique styles or vocal elements each month. Since launching its initial music-generation model in 2025, ElevenLabs has seen users generate over 25 million tracks using its AI technology.
The company first rolled out its consumer-friendly music generation app in April 2026, allowing users to create songs from prompts. By May 2026, ElevenLabs unveiled a more advanced music model capable of switching genres mid-track and managing intricate vocal nuances. This new SoundCloud publishing capability thus expands the ways artists can distribute AI-created tracks beyond ElevenLabs’ own ecosystem, potentially reaching broader audiences.
SoundCloud itself has pursued multiple AI partnerships to empower musicians, such as teaming with Moises to facilitate seamless import and export of songs. It also collaborates with platforms like Google Flow Music and Hook for remixing capabilities. SoundCloud CEO Eliah Seton emphasized that the platform aims to be a creative playground where artists can innovate and grow their following by sharing experimental works, particularly now with direct access to ElevenMusic creations.
While ElevenLabs also partners with Spotify to enable AI-generated audiobook narrations, the streaming industry remains cautious about AI music. Companies including Deezer and Bandcamp have implemented filtering or bans on AI-generated tracks, while Spotify and YouTube have focused on clearly labeling such content. This move by ElevenLabs and SoundCloud highlights an evolving acceptance of AI tools within music creation and distribution, offering new opportunities while navigating concerns around authenticity and user trust.
