SuperMe raises $20M for its network of AI expert profiles

SuperMe, a startup founded in 2024 by Casey Winters and Ludo Antonov, has developed an AI-driven network of expert profiles designed to help users get answers to career and job-related questions. The platform creates AI profiles based on the knowledge of real-life experts and, when a user submits a question, it identifies the best-fit experts and initiates a group chat featuring their AI representations. This innovative approach aims to make specialized knowledge more accessible by leveraging the insights of top professionals.

To fuel its growth and expand its network of users and experts, SuperMe recently announced a $20 million funding round. The investment was led by Kirsten Green’s Forerunner and included participation from Greylock Partners. Both founders bring extensive experience from high-profile tech companies such as Grubhub, Pinterest, Eventbrite, Lyft, and Whatnot, which helped them build a credible and scalable AI-based expert network.

SuperMe’s system collects data from public sources like LinkedIn, YouTube, and blogs, as well as private connected apps such as Google Drive, Notion, Gmail, and meeting note-taking tools. While it may gather personal and sensitive information, the company ensures none of these details appear in the AI-generated answers. Currently free to use, SuperMe plans to limit the number of questions users can ask, introducing a paid tier thereafter, and is exploring methods to incentivize experts to contribute more content.

The startup operates with a 13-person team and is actively hiring technical staff to enhance its AI conversation models and expert matching capabilities, along with network specialists to discover new expertise areas. Forerunner’s Kirsten Green noted SuperMe’s timely role in shaping a collaborative AI-human knowledge-sharing platform, highlighting the importance of balancing open sharing with incentives to encourage contribution from experts across industries.
